Planning a pirate birthday party Staten Island kids will talk about all year? Jersey Shore Pirates has hosted birthday crews aboard the Sea Gypsy II, a real pirate ship, since 2009. 2026 was our 18th season. Staten Island families make the drive over the Outerbridge Crossing and down the Garden State Parkway to board at Waterfront Marina in Brick, NJ. It is about 50 miles, or roughly an hour and 10 minutes without traffic, so it makes an easy day trip for the whole family. As a result, you can easily make a beach day of the trip. In fact, the ride home is a great time for little pirates to nap.

- A real pirate ship: kids sail the Sea Gypsy II, so there’s no need for a bounce house or arcade.
- Made for ages 3–10: for example, face painting, pirate lingo, a treasure map, water cannons and sunken treasure.

- The whole crew aboard: up to 43 people total. However, kids, adults and babies all count toward that number.

Getting here from Staten Island
Take the Outerbridge Crossing into New Jersey, then the Garden State Parkway south toward Brick. The drive is about 50 miles, or roughly an hour and 10 minutes without traffic, so allow extra time on summer weekends because Parkway traffic builds.
